Broadcasting “The Late Late Show” from home on March 30, James Corden wrapped up by discussing the anxieties he has felt during the coronavirus crisis. Then, in a bid to close on an uplifting note, he introduced Ben Platt, the out gay musical theater star who won a Tony Award in 2017 for his role in “Dear Evan Hansen.” Platt was joined by current members of the Broadway and touring “Evan Hansen” casts, each singing in isolation, to perform “You Will Be Found” from the show, which also won a Tony in 2017 as Best Musical.
Corden’s #HomeFest broadcasts are being done in support of Feed The Children and The CDC Foundation in the fight against COVID-19.
